Introduction of the
World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies,
Specialty Committee of Natural Therapy

World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS), approved by the State Council of P.R. China and registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs, P.R. China, is an international academic organization with its headquarters in Beijing. Its current Chairman is Ms. She Jing, Former Vice-Minister of Health and Former Director of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, P.R. China. Currently, WFCMS has 195 Chinese Medicine
societies in 57 countries and regions.

In order to promote the overall development of the world's Alternative Medicine, the civil society in accordance to the approved Ministry of Civil Affairs (2009) 7506 document, agreed to establish the "World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, Specialty Committee of Natural Therapy" hereinafter referred to as Specialty Committee of Natural Therapy, which aims:
·To improve the world (regional) Alternative Medicine exchanges and cooperation between groups;
·To raise the professional skill level of Alternative Medicine practitioners; and
·To make positive contributions to human health.

The missions of WFCMS Specialty Committee of Natural Therapy are as follows
1. Formulation of Standards:
Formulate the constitution and management methods for World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, Specialty Committee of Natural Therapy. Promote healthy and orderly development of Alternative Medicines in the world (region) through standardization.

2. Academic Exchange:
In order to promote international solidarity and bring together domestic and overseas members, we actively hold Alternative Medicine related academic activities to promote research exchanges and cooperation between groups in the world of traditional medicine and natural medicine. We aim to improve academic standards by holding academic meetings, seminars, exhibitions, develop information consultation, information services, publish scholarly journals, etc.

3. Academic Promotion:
Advertise and promote the natural features and advantages of Alternative Medicine and expand its impact. Study the status of the development of
Alternative Medicine in each country, absorbing and incorporating the latest mature research results. Promote the co-operation of Alternative Medicine research projects and their outcomes.

4. Carry out other works to realize the purposes of "World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies".

The Secretariat of Specialty Committee of Natural Therapy of WFCMS takes charge of the daily work. Aiming at conducting academic exchanges of
Alternative Medicines and establishment of bases etc, the secretariat sets up its general office and departments of academic, international exchange, finance and other departments to meet the needs of its function.

Pang, Executive Director of the China Association of Chinese Medicine, Executive Director of the China Medical Qigong Institute, Executive Director of the Chinese Hospital Association, Chairman of the China Society of Practitioners of Chinese Medicine, CEO of Clifford Hospital.

Deputy Team Leader: Professor Xu Fulin, Honorary President of the Association of Integrative Medicine, Guangdong; Clinical and Theoretical Expert of Psychosomatic Medicine, Clifford Group Hospital Director.
